2017/2018 – Product Development, Marketing & Branding through the development of Tourist Corridors and Trails in the emerging destinations of Corozal and Toledo

The study formulated under the lead of Associates Acorn Tourism falls under the Belize National Sustainable Tourism Master Plan 2012 – 2030 (NSTMP) and focused on specific areas of the country including the economically deprived areas and emerging tourism destinations of Toledo in the South and Corozal in the North. ITC-A’s specific role included advising on product development in the corridors, formulating marketing strategies and plans as well as identifying the appropriate positioning and branding to attract desired markets to Corozal and Toledo.

One of the output of the project was to create the ‘Cultural flavours of Toledo concept’ which showcased cuisines of the communities living together in the Toledo area and provided them with a platform to market their businesses:
